To clarify what's going on a bit, there are no cities in the North.  Clans live independently and often are separated by great distances.  Thus, the only chance to meet new people is at the Trader's Festival which goes on during both the Summer and Winter Solstices.  That being said, Kelu woke up LATE to see daylight first thing.
